Still Waters™ Fiduciaries Sdn. Bhd. (SWF), formerly known as J5, began in 2014 as an insurance agency. Since 2021, SWF has been a Financial Adviser (FA) licensed and approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) under the FSA 2013. We were the first such firm in East Malaysia, and we're still the only one.
We specialise in providing life and general insurance services to clients throughout East Malaysia, primarily in Kuching, Sibu, and Kota Kinabalu. Our clients range from individuals, corporates to government bodies.
Our services range from off-the-shelf products to solutions tailor-made for each client. We even source cover from offshore insurers when an industry has special needs.

OUR HISTORY
Still Waters Fiduciaries (SWF), previously known as J5, rebranded after getting its FA licence from BNM. Our position changed with it. We used to represent insurance companies and market their products. Now we represent our clients as a fiduciary and find the insurance that best fits their needs.
At SWF, we have the expertise to tailor-make insurance products to fit certain clients or industries requirements. Besides, we have been actively working closely with insurers to come up with innovative products to help with the Malaysian economy especially after the pandemic.
OUR JOURNEY
Insurance Agency
J5 started as an insurance agency with Prudential, focused on life insurance.
General Insurance
Acquired a general insurance agency licence and began to cover individuals and businesses.
Travel Industry
Designed TOTAL (Tour Operator, Tour Agency Liability), the first such policy in East Malaysia, followed by inbound travel personal accident cover.
First COVID Insurance
Designed the first COVID insurance in Malaysia and obtained our Financial Adviser licence from Bank Negara Malaysia.
Financial Adviser
Began operating as a Financial Adviser and rebranded from J5 to Still Waters Fiduciaries.
Employee Benefits
Launched employee benefits solutions and Collective Fire Insurance, which combined scattered fire policies and saved many clients more than 30% of their premium.

Passed the milestone of 500 clients.
